Groover City Radio Groover City - Tune in, turn up!
Keeana Kee “Tik Tok”: The Ultimate Summer Anthem Groover City
There are songs that are written, songs that are produced, and then there are songs that just arrive. Angel Haniel’s Clearing by Karen Salicath is one of those rare ones. A piece that came fully formed, as if waiting to be heard, waiting for someone to listen. Released on July 11, this song it slows things down and offers a clearing in the noise.
Karen Salicath follows her own rhythm. Her music flows from a place most of us only glimpse in those early hours when dreams still hang heavy. And that’s exactly how Angel Haniel’s Clearing arrived – early in the morning, soft and luminous, carried by the energy of Archangel Haniel.
I know it sounds unreal, but it happened. Karen began composing music after a near-death experience in 2012, emerging with an unexplainable ability to play the piano – an instrument she had never studied. After three years of recovery, the dreams started. And with them, the music.
Angel Haniel’s Clearing is the sound of grace, emotional clarity, and deep feminine strength. The melody invites calm, reflection, and connection to a higher peace.
The music comes as it is, not necessarily dressed up or trimmed for radio. What you hear is exactly what was received. I could feel that when I listened – like I was hearing the very first breath of something sacred. Karen plays it once, straight from the source, and lets it be. This piece was mastered by Maria Triana – yes, the same legend who’s worked with Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Barry Manilow, and the Metropolitan Opera. Karen asked for truth in sound, something sincere and unpolished. And that’s what you hear.
The artwork? Another gift from Karen. The cover is her painting – a visual translation of the sound. Together, music and art offer the full experience: a gentle, meditative portal into peace.
I played this one early in the morning, before emails, before life kicked in. And I felt something shift. No that kind of fireworks or grand crescendo. Just a calm that had been missing all along. This track arrives gently and stays. A quiet presence that fills the space with something grounding, something that asks you to breathe.
If you’ve ever needed to hit pause on the chaos, Angel Haniel’s Clearing is that pause. It’s the soft breath you forgot you were holding. It’s a moment where nothing else needs to happen except being. And let’s be honest, those moments are rare.
When Karen Salicath releases a piece, something shifts in the room. Like a breath. It holds its own space and moves at its own pace.
