MUNZER Welcome Back

Thirteen years in hip-hop, probably more. And still counting. Call it prowess, add a little creative stubbornness to the mix, and here we go. MUNZER points out his cypher attitude and keeps the door open for his fans with Welcome Back, his latest hip-hop creation, released on 4 July 2026. Duration: 02:18. BPM: 96. Same level of energy, you might say. Having followed MUNZER over the last two years, though, I’d argue this one pushes the needle even further.

Back In The Game

Coming out of Mount Druitt, Sydney, MUNZER first made his name in the city’s underground hip-hop scene. Building a name across Sydney’s hip-hop circles takes time. For MUNZER, it’s been one hell of a journey, from Street University shows between 2013 and 2016 to Blacktown City Council Festivals from 2014 to 2018, followed by Hip Hop Knect showcases, radio appearances, and the Coast to Coast Live tour in Melbourne.

Then came the wider lane: pop, alternative hip-hop, melodic hooks, and this particular sound shaped by names like Kool G Rap, 2Pac, 50 Cent, Big Pun, Pop Smoke, M.O.P. and others. MUNZER‘s attitude speaks louder than any press release ever could. We all know good artists borrow ideas. Smart artists give those ideas a personality of their own. But MUNZER clearly knows how to do exactly that.

Boom Bap With A Point To Make

Welcome Back reunites MUNZER with long-time collaborator Johnny Bullz of BULLZEYE BEATS, whose creative partnership has grown stronger over the years. The production shows exactly where the punch belongs. Boom bap drums, a weighty bassline and clean production keep the focus exactly where it belongs: on MUNZER‘s delivery.

MUNZER Welcome Back

The track works like a reminder. MUNZER presents it as a statement of devotion, dedication, love, and talent in hip-hop. I like that, because it feels direct. Just a rapper stepping back into the frame and saying, basically, “yes, I still do this”.

Sometimes you simply feel like going back to where the story began. That’s exactly the impression Welcome Back leaves, bringing MUNZER closer to the raw hip-hop flavour that first sparked the whole adventure. And then… “Welcome back MUNZERMAN.” I heard it and immediately pictured someone unlocking an old door with the same original key.

Follow MUNZER here and stream Welcome Back as loud as you can. If somebody asks what’s going on, tell them MUNZERMAN is just calibrating my speakers.
