Keeana Kee “Tik Tok”: The Ultimate Summer Anthem Groover City
If there’s something worth mentioning that I’ve learnt in life, it’s that life is unpredictable. Especially when it comes to love and relationships. People change, feelings change, and sometimes things go completely upside down before you even realise what’s happening. And of course, we make our own mistakes along the way.
I suppose that’s part of being human, although a little warning now and then would be appreciated! That’s pretty much the territory Seattle artist JC Flow explores in Still Becoming, released on October 16.
The track might sound a bit heavy at first. And it is, trust me. Heavy, but surprisingly easy to get into. There’s weight in the beat, tension in JC Flow’s rapping, and a lot of truth in what he’s saying. And believe me, the guy knows what he’s talking about.
“I’m still here…I’m still becoming.” Simple words, really. But I reckon many of us could borrow them every now and then.
JC Flow has some interesting history behind him. And I would mention music placements in Kevin Hart’s Laugh at My Pain, ESPN’s SportsCenter and So You Think You Can Dance.
His previous releases, Made for More and Still Rising, also talk about life’s ups and downs, and how we deal with them.
And you know what I like about the way he does things? JC talks about stuff we’ve probably all been through at some point, and he knows how to put it into words. That’s a useful talent, especially when life decides to throw another banana skin under our feet.
Fancy getting to know JC Flow a little better? His music and the rest of his world are waiting for you here.
