Untold Festival 10th Anniversary: Packing for Cluj This August

Every summer, Cluj-Napoca starts to vibrate. The city hums like it’s hiding something too wild to say out loud. And this year, it’s louder than usual – Untold Festival turns ten. Untold Festival 10th Anniversary – a decade is no joke in this business. Ten years of beats, bass, fire, glitter, and strangers becoming instant best friends in the dark.

I’ve been watching the build-up like a ritual – playlist loaded, suitcase half-packed, and a mental note to leave space for langoși and impulse-buy merch. The city’s heartbeat is starting to sync with mine, and we’re still weeks away.

Ten Years of Transylvanian Pulse

From August 7 to 10, Cluj becomes a playground again. More than 400,000 people are expected. Seven stages will rise across the city like neon temples. There’s no quiet corner during Untold. The Cluj Arena becomes a glowing beast. Galaxy Stage pumps techno into space. Daydreaming wraps you in soft lights and soft sounds if you need to come down for a minute.

Untold started in 2015 as a local experiment. Now it’s a main player on the global map. But somehow, it still feels close. Still feels Romanian. You can tell it grew with love and hustle, not just with budget and branding.

Untold Festival – Or How to Shake the Ground

This anniversary lineup? It’s not shy. Post Malone hits the stage for his first-ever show in Romania. Metro Boomin comes in hot with his only European festival date. Martin Garrix is back with a special anniversary set. That alone is enough to make your knees go soft.

But there’s more – Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Alan Walker, Anyma, FISHER, Becky Hill, Black Coffee, Dom Dolla, Don Diablo, Rag’n’Bone Man, Marco Carola, and Steve Angello. Some of these names have been here before. Others are about to carve their name into the Untold legend for the first time.

I’ve marked a few must-sees in bold ink: Anyma’s techno visuals, Metro’s explosive hip-hop session, and that moment when Garrix makes a whole stadium levitate. But I’m also leaving space for the surprise sets – the ones that come out of nowhere and wreck your expectations in the best way.

The City, the Crowd, and the Current Between Us

Untold lives inside the city. Untold Festival 10th Anniversary, that’s part of its power. You’re not cut off from reality, you’re just dancing through it.

There’s no official camping. People stay in hotels, apartments, hostels, or anywhere they can throw their head down for a few hours. The wristbands are cashless, the food is ridiculously amazing, and the parties don’t stop when the main stage goes dark. You drift through terraces, riverside walks, and alleyway pop-ups. Sunrise doesn’t mean it’s over – it just means the lighting changed.

That connection between festival and city is rare. You can feel it. The energy doesn’t drop, it moves. It follows you into cafés, onto side streets, and back into the crowd.

A Quick Breath Before the Downbeat

There’s a special kind of silence before something big. That’s where I am now. The article’s done, the ticket’s printed, the buzz is real. Ten years of Untold means something to the scene, and to the people in it. You don’t make it this far unless something deeper’s holding it all together.

Come August, I’ll be there. Somewhere in the glow. Bass in my ribs. Friends I haven’t met yet dancing close by.

Do you have your ticket yet?
