Keeana Kee “Tik Tok”: The Ultimate Summer Anthem Groover City
I grew up around people bended by their own stories of life. Uncles, neighbours, the guy who fixed radios in the corner shop – all walking around with stories kept locked inside. Bended, but never kneeled. Today’s release under my radar – Thistroubledsoul by Highroad No. 28 – stirred that memory right back up.
Andrew JC, the man behind the project, took every instrument into his own hands for this one, and the more the song opens up, I can slowly feel that solitude running through it.
I’m taken by the cinematic guitars, the slow-burning atmosphere, and that voice rising from somewhere far above, lighting the ground we all walk on. It moves with a certain gravity, the sort that comes from time spent facing your own corners. And I’ve been through enough of my own to feel that weight.
Highroad No. 28 came out of the late ’90s Australian heavy rock trenches and shaped their grit across early EPs, long tours, and two albums. Then they disappeared for more than a decade, leaving fragments, reworks, and echoes behind. Now they’re stepping out again, steady and intentional, with a new chapter forming under Andrew’s hands.
This new single follows Ache and leads the way toward their upcoming album The Will to Endure, set to go live in December 2025. And to ne honest, this is a title that says enough on its own. I’ll be here waiting for the release day.
Meantime, I’ll keep Thistroubledsoul close as one of those emotional battles that feel familiar to anyone who ever walked through their own hurricanes.
To the ones carrying the strength to not always talk about their turmoils, and to the ones who walk through the day with a storm tucked under the coat, there’s something in this song that quietly speaks their language. Find Highroad No. 28 on Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram – their world is right there waiting.
