Defected Champion Exclusive Collection

House music has always been about people first. Records came later. Clothes too. Defected and Champion are about to celebrate that with a collaboration where the community takes the spotlight. This one comes with sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, a DJ record trolley, and that clever wink toward the people who keep house music alive.

The exclusive collection launched online on Monday 6 July 2026 through both brands’ online stores, with a launch event following on Thursday 16 July at the Champion store in Soho, London.

Five Champions, One Community

The campaign runs under the House of Champions banner, which sounds grand enough to require a velvet rope. The real story, however, goes much deeper. Defected and Champion are pointing the camera at five people from the wider house music world: creators, selectors, dancers, broadcasters, community builders.

Millie & Phoebe, founders of In The Loop, represent the community side of the scene. Ellie Scougall brings the Newcastle DJ, producer and label boss energy, with a clear push for women and diverse voices in electronic music. Mr James moves through sound healing, reggae, soca, soul, house and disco. Yeah, already sounds like a better Friday than most people deserve.

Then there’s Andrew, the dancer, DJ and nightlife devotee behind A Hard Day’s Dance, plus Maria Hanlon, radio presenter and host of The Voices Breakfast Show on Voices. That’s how house music has always worked. Organisers, broadcasters, DJs, dancers and community builders, all playing their part.

The Bigger Picture

Yes, there are clothes. Yes, the DJ trolley looks unbelievably useful. However, the campaign goes well beyond the collection itself. Defected and Champion are using the range to spotlight grassroots talent through to-camera content and social media features.

If you ask me, that’s exactly how it should be. House music has always needed more than records. It needs dancers, radio people, friends who drag friends to parties, community pages, small events, and the countless people who make it all happen.

Both Defected and Champion understand that. Take a look at the collection on both brands’ websites and see what they’ve put together.
