Denis Sulta & Capri Bring ‘Push The Tempo’ to Defected

Do you want some fun? Good. Push the tempo then. Denis Sulta and Capri clearly had the same idea, because Push The Tempo gets straight to business. Big drums, brassy stabs and a bassline that becomes the boss of the whole operation. I gave it one play. Then another. You know… quality control.

Denis Sulta finally gets his Defected debut

Yep, finally. Denis Sulta makes his first appearance on Defected, although he and the label already know each other pretty well. The Glasgow DJ headlined Defected’s sold-out New Year’s Eve 2025 party at O2 Academy Brixton, before taking 2026 around elrow Ibiza, fabric London, Savaya Bali and plenty of other sweaty places.

Go further back and you’ll find It’s Only Real, which picked up support from Four Tet and Bicep, while more recently he joined Solomun for Say Nothing. So, Defected debut? Yes. New kid arriving with a packed lunch? Hardly.

Capri Strikes Again

Capri, meanwhile, comes back after making quite a mess with Got The Funk alongside Low Steppa. The track became 1001Tracklists’ most played house record of 2025, which probably explains why you heard the bloody thing everywhere.

His music has also caught the ears of Sam Divine, Mark Knight, Jamie Jones, Danny Howard, Chris Lake and Fisher, with Toolroom and Nothing Else Matters next on his release schedule.

Right then… Push The Tempo

Put these two together and you get exactly that sort of house record the title promises. Love the big drums rattling away, those stabs scissoring the senses and… honoured guests – the bass. Like a stable foundation under a shaking dancefloor. Personally, that bassline got me. Simple job, done properly.
