Keeana Kee “Tik Tok”: The Ultimate Summer Anthem Groover City
There’s a point in the night when the world slows down and thoughts start to wander. That hour before dawn always gets me — it’s when I end up writing most of my stuff. Atmosphere, the new single by Qaluna, moves inside that silence.
The track keeps its own rhythm. Every pulse feels alive, steady, and deliberate. It moves like breath – slow, natural, and real. Atmosphere – the almost eight-minute escape – was born in Groningen, Netherlands, and released on October 24th, 2025. And let’s find out why this track asks for a slower listen.
Artists who create in solitude always grab my attention. I’ve been living in that echo for years. The process has a certain weight when it’s just one person facing a blank session and a restless mind. Qaluna, real name Nathan van der Heide, worked alone on every part of Atmosphere. Writing, producing, mixing, and mastering all happened in the same small room that turned into his universe of sound.
And truth be told, that closeness sits right inside the mix. Every texture tells a story. I’ve lived those long nights, headphones pressed tight, hunting that small space where tone meets emotion. Qaluna once said, “Music isn’t something I make — it’s something I receive.” That line feels like an ode to those moments in life when you stop controlling and start listening.
His last release, Derailed Mind, came out two years ago, closing a run that shaped his early sound – Lingering Steam, Tunnel of Time, Delayed Perception, Junction Jungle, Mind the Gap, Strange Exchange, and The Great Outdoors. I listened to them all, the way I always do before writing – to slip inside the artist’s mind for a while.
Each one carries a glimpse of his evolution, like sketches drawn from instinct. And Atmosphere feels like the moment those sketches turned into something whole.
This release opens a new chapter for Qaluna. His earlier work hinted at direction, but this one defines it. Atmosphere carries depth in both sound and feeling. And if electronic music keeps you awake the same way it keeps me, you’ll feel every word I just said. That’s the feeling – and that’s what Qaluna managed to capture, somehow wiring it straight into your senses.
He made it alone, in a small studio that feels more like a shelter than a workspace. Layer after layer, he shaped the sound until it clicked in that way only emotion does. It marks a new phase for him – more depth, more air, more trust in instinct. Listening to Atmosphere, that line starts to make sense.
