Keeana Kee “Tik Tok”: The Ultimate Summer Anthem Groover City
Honestly, for a duo that came from the huge tech-house boom years, Solardo survived better than many others. A lot of acts from that era became formula machines. Meanwhile, these two still sound like blokes who actually enjoy standing inside a sweaty club with a pint in one hand and a bassline rattling the floorboards under their trainers.
Forever arrives through Defected like Solardo remembered where the chaos and groove came from in the first place. Real movement. You can hear traces of that second golden age of deep house all over this release – warm grooves, some low-end pressure, and the vocals stretching toward the ceiling fans like cigarette smoke in an old Manchester warehouse. And honestly, I missed hearing Solardo sound this hungry.
The timing feels right too. After tearing through Ibiza appearances, Defected events and major festival stages, Solardo now step fully into the label with their first original Defected release. The chemistry makes perfect sense. Because the famous label loves records that breathe through groove, and Forever runs that assignment perfectly.
The vocal glides across the track beautifully while the production reveal that thick rolling bass and crisp percussion. Here, house music returns to its oldest magic trick – making strangers grin at each other like they’ve known each other for years. I played this one twice while making coffee earlier. My neighbour probably thinks I’ve joined a questionable Ibiza wellness cult.
That’s probably the biggest strength here. Solardo feels like a slap fight between two DJs and you never know who’s going louder next in the middle of the chaos. Somehow, they still work magic around house music, making strangers grin at each other for absolutely no reason.
Forever belongs on summer terraces, open-air systems and long taxi rides home while your ears still buzz a little from the speakers. Beautiful stuff. Find more about Solardo HERE.
