SOFI TUKKER is set to deliver fresh, additive-free dance rhythms with the announcement of their third studio album, BREAD. As a result, fans are eagerly awaiting a project that promises to reach new heights in dance music.

Two Years for Crafting This Sonic Delight

The title BREAD stands for “Be Really Energetic And Dance.” This motto perfectly captures the duo’s dynamic and invigorating musical style. Indeed, this spirit runs through the veins of the album.

Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern—the creative forces behind SOFI TUKKER—have spent the past two years crafting this sonic delight. During that time, they infused the record with globally-inspired beats, sweet vocal hooks, and an extra-large dose of creativity. Their previous releases earned Grammy nominations. Considering that, this new work is expected to be a rich, multi-layered auditory feast. Ultimately, all these elements come together in BREAD. It showcases SOFI TUKKER at their most vibrant and inspired.

BREAD – an anthem to free-spirited dancing

This latest work is their first album release since the acclaimed 2022 album WET TENNIS. BREAD, an anthem to free-spirited dancing, is scheduled for release on August 23rd. It will feature 10 tracks, including exciting collaborations with artists like Channel Tres and Kah-Lo.

For those who like their music to be as nourishing as it is energizing, the studio album Bread delivers in full. It’s packed with rich, dance-fuelling tracks — and far from just empty beats. It offers something with real substance. One standout example is the vibrant single “Throw Some Ass,” which is available now and ready to shake up your playlist.

Sofi Tukker: Dancing Through the Pain, Finding Freedom in the Beat

Sophie Hawley-Weld shared insights into the deeper healing aspects of their music. She focused on how it relates to dance and freedom from chronic pain. “The more I embraced the physical freedom of dancing, the more I could change my brain’s response to pain,” she explained. “It’s about telling your body it’s safe and free, which transformed my mental state. This process significantly reduced my chronic pain through what I believe is a re-wiring of neural pathways.
