Omar Apollo Set to Tour Australia in 2024 Following Met Gala Appearance

Published:

Fresh from appearing at The Met Gala, American singer-songwriter Omar Apollo returns to Australia this winter.

The bedroom pop, R&B, soul artist will headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in July.

Two years removed from his debut album ‘Ivory’, Omar recently returned with the single ‘Sprite’ – a song he declares is “about a long-distance relationship and wanting to reassure the other person that you’re okay”.

He has also recently teased ‘LP2’ to his socials, so fans can expect more new material in 2024 to add to an already impressive back catalogue that features such hits as ‘Evergreen’, ‘Want U Around’, ‘Invincible’ and ‘Useless’.

Traversing the bounds of genre and language in his songs, Apollo has garnered a number of industry accolades including a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, plus two Latin Grammy nominations for Record Of The Year and Best Alternative Song (‘Te Olvidaste’ with C. Tangana).
