Hardwell

Few artists have shaped modern dance music as deeply as Hardwell. Born in Breda, The Netherlands, he began DJing as a teenager and signed his first record deal at just 14. By the early 2010s, his melodic big-room sound had taken over global stages. As a result, he earned the World’s #1 DJ title twice (2013, 2014).

Tracks like Spaceman, Apollo and Run Wild became defining festival records. At the same time, collaborations and remixes across artists from Craig David to Rihanna showed his ability to move between underground energy and global pop. His debut album United We Are (2015) led into the I Am Hardwell world tours, selling out major venues and pushing the boundaries of the live DJ experience.

From Big Room to a Darker Edge

However, in 2018, after years of relentless touring, Hardwell stepped away from the spotlight. When he returned in 2022, he brings a clear evolution, introducing a darker, more techno-driven sound. This shift took shape on his second album REBELS NEVER DIE, where melodic roots met a heavier, more aggressive edge.

Beyond the Stage

Beyond the stage, Hardwell remains a key figure in shaping the scene. His label Revealed Recordings continues to support new talent, while Hardwell On Air stands as one of the most influential dance radio shows worldwide.

Today, Hardwell continues to evolve, balancing mainstage power with forward-thinking production, and staying firmly at the forefront of electronic music. Hardwell also brings Hardwell On Air to Groover City, airing Saturdays 9–10PM (UK time), with a new episode on the second Saturday of each month and archive shows filling the remaining weeks.
