That alone sends me straight to the speakers, recalibrating for high volume. After the first listen, I didn’t find that cheap vocal darkening trick. The production lets the voice clash, lets the bass behave badly. My neighbours agreed, bless them.

I also noticed that wonderfully deranged sound-design detail here: percussion built from the acoustic sound of a giant 45cm lollipop crushed over an iron barbell. Absolutely unbelievable. That, my friends, is literal ear candy with DNA.

I like how this production came together. m0n0 jay linked up with Arthur (ATH) and gave him a ruthless brief:  smash that Gesaffelstein-style low-end into the raw metallic feel of the gym floor. And smash it he did. Sweden meets France, then heads to Australia for mastering. Originally a massive undertaking.
