For the very first time, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, and Hardwell have joined forces. Bringing us a new edit of the popular track Miracle. Hardwell, the Dutch producer, gives the trance throwback a big room treatment. Adding about a thousand layers of synth to the original’s heavy kick drum. This transforms the anthem into a completely effective maximal mainstage banger. Fans heard both the original and the new edit during Calvin Harris’ set on Saturday, April 15 at Coachella.

A leading figure in the EDM world

This marks the Scottish producer’s first time playing the festival since 2014, where he performed a headlining set that featured a surprise appearance by Rihanna. Harris’s 2014 album, Motion, featured an impressive list of collaborators, such as John Newman, HAIM, and Gwen Stefani. The album spawned hits like Blame and Under Control, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in the EDM world.

Miracle has been a success story for the trio, currently sitting at No. 8 on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart for its fourth week. The song has also made its way to the top of the U.K. singles chart, climbing 3-1 for its first stint at the summit.

Positive reviews for its fresh sound

This collaboration marks Harris’ third in the last decade. I Need Your Love hit No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August of 2013 and spent 25 weeks on the chart. Outside reached No. 29 on the Hot 100 in 2014 and spent 20 weeks on the chart. In 2017, Harris released Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, a departure from his typical EDM sound, exploring funk and disco elements. This album featured collaborations with artists like Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, and Frank Ocean. The album received positive reviews for its fresh sound and showcased Harris’s versatility as a producer.
